Don was my Mom's cousin. Since we lived on the west coast, I only saw he and Dot several times as a kid and a young adult. Don was energetic, inspiring, postive and always took the time to talk - even when I was a kid he was interested in what I had to say. He always had something memorable and profound that I took away. I spoke to him last when my grandmother passed and it was as though I had seen him regularly - warm, comforting, caring. A wonderful guy like no other! Leslie, Steve and family.  It was good to see you all today.  Your Dad was a pillar to many of our Baltimore IBM associates, customers, and friends.  He not only shared his wisdom but focused on mentoring us to do what was in the best interests of the customer.  One of the greatest lessons he taught me was that sometimes you have to tell the customer when he is wrong.  Don played a major part in the success of IBM in the financial industry in Baltimore. He will be missed with wonderful memories, even on the golf course. You all can be proud of his accomplishments.  Jim Greenwood

Don was my Systems Engineering Manager for a number of years and he was the type of manager with whom you immediately felt comfortable with.  He was smart, net and good to both his customers and his people.

One thing I will always remember.  He made his customer call key points on the back of a punched card, discussed the points with his customer, and then left the card for the customer to ponder.  It was effective.

His family should be very proud of him.  May he rest in peace.

Don was a friend, a mentor and a real  gentleman!  At IBM, we worked closely on a special project and I remember fondly his "uber-neat" printed notes done with VERY sharp pencils!  My sympathies to Don's family and "may his memory be eternal".

Sorry hear about Don.  He was my manager when I was with IBM and later took one of my courses at Essex Community College.  A real gentleman, an outstanding manager and a all around nice person.  My sympathies.
