

On May 27, 2012, Elva Brown Kammerer of Cockeysville, Maryland, formerly of Aberdeen, Maryland, died at Stella Maris Hospice from complications of scleroderma and heart failure. Born in 1929 in Robbinsville, North Carolina to the late Elvers and V. Rae Brown (nee Frederick), she was the wife of the late Earl (Sonny) Kammerer and mother of the late Mark Steven Kammerer. Elva was also predeceased by two brothers, Wendell Brown and James Brown, and is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Yohner and Janet Knight, four nieces and two nephews.
Elva graduated from Aberdeen High School and was an accomplished and award-winning artist, crafter, seamstress, and gardener. She worked at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds at the Military Chart Plant, the U.S. Post Office in Aberdeen, C&P Telephone Company in Aberdeen, and Blind Industries of Maryland in Baltimore County. She was an animal lover and rescued cats and dogs throughout her life.
The family will receive friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Saturday, June 9 from 10 to 11AM. Immediately following visitation a funeral service will be celebrated. Interment will be at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
