I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you  both and sending hugs.

Very sad to see that George passed away. He was my friend and mentor back in the late 70's and 80's. He shared his gift of music and guitar and showed me many songs and techniques. There was no internet to learn from back then but I had George in my life, thank God. I truly believe that he is the reason that I continued to play and write songs all these years. He really gave me the foundation I needed. Although I hadn't seen him in the last 30 years, I still think of him whenever I play Sultans of Swing..."Guitar George...He knew all the chords." Thank you, George, for the generosity of your time and talents. I will be forever grateful. May you rest in peace, my friend.

My heartfelt condolences to George's family and friends.   I have many great memories of George from working with him at Towson Deli North; and field parties, fiddler's conventions and holiday parties so many years ago.  I'm so happy to hear that he had the happy and fulfilling life that he so richly deserved; and so devastated to learn of his passing under such unexpected circumstances!  He was such a good soul:  kind, helpful, humorous and talented -- a gentle man.  To those closest to him, I pray you find comfort in your memories of him; and that you find peace in the knowledge that he is with you always in spirit.  May God comfort you during this tragic time.  

George was my first crush. I met him in grade school thru my best friend Jodi Bauer who was his neighbor. We attended St. Joseph School. George was the cool boy who could do everything well whether it was bowling, skating at Cockeyville Jr High or any sport. I remember he asked me to pair skate during and evening skate at the jr high. I had to hold his sweater because my hands were so sweaty. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family and friends for their lose.  Hold on to your wonderful memories and he will always be with you.
