"My Dad"
He was the most precise person, could fix anything, worried about everyone and always showed how much he cared.  He always had to know what I was getting into and he would inspect and give directions whether I needed it or not, but I always wanted his input just to have him hang around.  He will be missed but I'm glad to have had the time and experience with him.  I feel confident in myself because of his support over the years.  I am proud to have his name:

Dear God, Please let me see my Harvey tomorrow night,
 so I can love him and hug him and hold him so tight.
He's simply wonderful, so handsome and bold.
Please, Dear God let me his warm body hold.

When Harvey was a teenager, he broke his leg.  It was in a cast.  At that time he had a motorcycle. His Mom gave him orders, do not try to ride the motorcycle.   Knowing Harvey, he waited for her to leave the house, and then he was on his bike going up the hill, with the broken leg straight out.  It was a sight to see.   But at last Mom caught him.  No more riding for him.  We were neighbors for 35 years.

My Pop meant the world to me.  He was my buddy,we loved to argue and agitate each other.  I was "Skinny" to him and a bit of a pest, but I think that is what made our relationship so special.  I always thought he was the most handsome and strongest Dad in the world.  There wasn't anything my Dad couldn't do.  I liked to brag about that as a young girl to all my friends.  As I grew up I always knew I wanted to marry a honest, good, caring man like my Dad.  He was always there for me or anyone else who needed his help or advise.  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him or miss him terribly.  I know he is looking down on his family and will still protect them like he did when he was here.  
In the end, I was there for him as much as I could be and I hope he knew how much I loved him...Skinny

Dad, also known as Pop taught me so much more than what a father/daughter share.  Not only did he teach me the family values of honesty, never giving up, respect and caring for others, but also his mechanical expertise and knowledge.  We worked on muscle cars "75 Camaro and 69 Grand Prix" together with Cowboy and spent hours in the cold garage and basement.  I learned so much from him.  He drove me to and from work in the old Surburbans from 1978 to 1991, when he was a surveyor and I worked at the County.  We didn't always see eye to eye but in the end we always loved each other.  That is what you call a daddy and always will be.  Until we met again...Love Linda

Pop was not only a grandfather to me, but a father figure as well.  I will always miss him, but know he will always be with me in my heart.  I have so many memories to hang on to.  So much love to remember.  He will always be a role model and friend.  His guidance and love will carry me through to the end of my days.  I love you Pop until we meet again.  George

When our Dad died, Harvey and I were just teenagers, this was a devastating loss.  A hole left in our lives, but he and Mother brought us through it all.  I suppose he became my "father figure".  He watched out for me through my teen years, we did so much together.  His friends were our friends and vice versa. Roller skating was a big part of that, we spent many weekends at the roller rink. There we made some great memories.  He was always there watching over me.  He is a very strong part of what I turned out to be.  As we got older, life took me in different directions, mostly away from our home, but I always knew he was there if I needed him.  Harvey, I will love you and miss you forever.  Carolyn

My Unc was an important person in my life.  As a little girl he taught me how to fish, we would cut grass together, and go watch the fireworks.  In my world, when everything was changing he was always a rock to cling to.  Unc flew across the country to walk me down the isle on my Wedding day.  I loved him to pieces and am so thankful for the times that we shared.

One of my favorite places to be when I was a child was Grammaw and Pops. My sister and I would sit in Pops chair, eating his cheese curls and mixed nuts. As soon as he came home we would hide behind his chair, giggling, waiting to jump onto Pumpkin Pops' lap. He had a bid belly and loved that we gave him that nickname, I loved watching old country music shows with him, HeeHaw and Opry re-runs especially. There is no one in this world as finicky, stubborn, and lovable as my Pop. Everythime I walk into my grandparents house I'll miss hearing his loud deep voice, "We'll there she is!" But I know he's still here with Grammaw. Anytime I listen to one of our old country favorites, I smile and know my Pop is with me. Thanks for all the memories Pop, we'll keep Weaver safe for you. Helen, Janice, Linda and Little Harvey, I will miss your Dad very much. I loved him and he was like a second Dad to me. I know he is at peace and sharing stories with my Dad.
