Norrie Miles Mother and my Mother were Girl Scout leaders together and Norris was my classmate at Towson Catholic School. Norrie was the coolest girl in the class! I was shy and sort of the opposite. Like all the cool girls, Norrie rolled up her Uniform skirt at the waist to make it the correct length for the current style. She was such a leader, so much fun, always laughing and engaged with everyone. I send my condolences and love to her family and all her TC classmates who will miss her very much. Barb Welsh

Dear Don, I was shocked and so terribly saddened to learn of Norie's passing.  What a firecracker...full of life and love! You two had the life and love, many will envy for years. My heart is aching for you and yours.  Norie's obit was the essence of her soul. Loving and lovable. Teaching and having her students reach for the stars.  And move mountains. Only Norie could that! Please know, I was with you and your family in spirit yesterday.  May god Bless you all!!!

Norrie was our neighbor, carpool driver, tutor, referee and friend.  She supported us in our sorrows and celebrated with us in births, marriages, graduations, baptisms etc.  All of us have fond memories and we will miss her and her laugh. Norie was a true gift to all her students at the Odyssey School! We will be forever grateful for the love , support , and encouragement that she gave to our daughter and our entire family .  


Aunt Norie,
I have so many fond memories of you as a child growing up it's hard to know where to start. I remember you used to critique my letters that I would write to you and send them back with corrections. You were always so kind and eager to help me learn and understand. I have very fine memories of driving with you and Uncle Don down to South Carolina to see family. We would pile in your van and you guys introduced me to John Denver for sure! It's bittersweet how life twists and changes and in the last decade or so everyone has been focused on different chapters of their lives. Unfortunately you never got to meet my children but I know they would have found you as loving and wonderful as I did. I'll miss you but I'll never forget you. Love you Aunt Norie


I'm very sorry to learn that Norie has passed. She worked with my mother, Barbara Chinn, at Church of the Redeemer Day School, and she was one of my mother's favorite people, ever. I know Norie will be missed greatly. My deepest condolences.

Dearest Norie, you must have been an awesome teacher.  You have been one of the most thoughtful, caring and lovely people that I have ever met. You always reached out to say something nice and to be encouraging to others. Your sense of humor and laughter helped to brighten everyone's day at Springwell.  It has been a true pleasure knowing you, and I know that you will be praying for all of us and encouraging us to be our best.  You have been a blessing too many, and although you are with the angels now, that will not stop.  As they say, "A woman's work is never done!"  I love you Norie! Norie, as your little sister I am sure growing up I was annoying at times, but you were always there for me with your smile, your humor, and your guidance. Something only sisters can share.  When I was in grammar school (you were in high school), you walked me home from school everyday. Sometimes you were late. That was ok. I was very proud of my sister. You told me that you wanted your school to always have clean windows. Being the wonderful person that you are, you stayed after school to clean the windows. Being just a kid, I didn't know that the nuns had put you on detention for talking too much that day in school. Fun kid memories. When I saw you a few weeks ago, you hugged me goodbye and whispered in my ear, "Debbie, don't you ever change".   We had visit that was filled with stories and laughter. That day forever will be cherished in my heart. You will be so missed.
