It has been many years since the childhood days of Lebanon. The memory of young Jack and the Snope family; their kindness, thoughtful intentions and good will, remain with me all my life. May the blessing of kindness and comfort be to his indelible spirit and to the family and friends who shared his life.

Jack worked with our company for 3 years. And while I didn’t get to know or spend a lot of time with him on a personal level, I can certainly attest to Jack’s character in a work environment. The worst that could be said of Jack on a jobsite was that he could be forgetful. His glasses, tools, phone, keys, you name it. Something was always missing… But what was never missing from Jack was his dedication to and respect for the craft and the historic buildings in which he worked. A polite and sensitive man, we would often receive praise of him from the homeowners that he worked for. What people could see was that Jack loved the work that he did and it showed in his skill, care, and follow through with regard to every, often varied, scope of work he tackled. He also had that creative spark that is required to be a great problem solver. And working in historic buildings, there is always a problem (or many) to be solved. We at C&H send our deep condolences to David and the rest of Jack’s family. Jack will be greatly missed. 

I met Jack 11 yrs ago on a dating site. We hit it off. We dated on and off for years, but mostly very good friends. I have never met anyone so kind, caring, with empathy for others. He loved  his  son David,  so much. He also was the most incredibly gifted man with his trade, I really think he could do about anything put in front of him.  Jack and I had a special bond and enjoyed laughing and being crazy together. We especially loved to laugh at Politics. I went to Barnegat light to visit his parents, and had so much fun! He loved it there
I saw him 3 wks ago, we watched the Ravens kick off another team. 
I know he is at peace now, I love him and will miss him so


I am truly blessed to have had such an amazing father. He was with me at the the lowest of lows in my life as well as all the high points. Nobody on this earth as been through as many things in my life as him save my mother. I’m saddened he is no longer with me but also grateful for all the time I got to spend with him. He was more then just my father he was also my best friend. Not a second goes by that I’m not thinking of you dad. I love you so much and you will always be with me.

I met Jack at work.  He was just a good guy who took such pride in his work.  I loved seeing him the last year at Sunday breakfast with the boys at Tambor's.  His death is a shock, but I will always hold his wry smile in my heart.  RIP 

Jack and I went to college together (MICA) back in the late 80s. He was a very sweet, kind and talented person. Everyone liked him and he was generous to all who knew him there. I haven’t seen him since but his kindness lasted in my memory. My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. His passing is a  true loss on so many levels. May he Rest In Peace.

Jack and I worked and traveled together on many projects for close to ten years.  In that time, Jack mentored me in so many of the things he was incredibly good at.  Some of them I could mention and many others, I will not. He was always able to make you laugh to your core, with stories of his upbringing, fishing, work craziness, his personal trials or of something that happened a few moments ago. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone who knew Jack, would be able to tell you at least, one funny story that jack relayed to them or they were involved with themselves. #itsachristmasmiricle 
    Jack was a highly skilled craftsman, with an impeccable ability to solve the most detailed issues with wood, plaster or about anything else he bent his mind to. 
I am very saddened to hear of his passing.  
To his family, I send a heart full of condolences, especially to his son David.  

  

Jack Snope was a good man. He was kind, considerate, funny, smart, skilled, and generous.   I mourn his passing.
