Jeff loved playing tennis throughout his life. He was taught the sport by his father, with whom he would play doubles against his future father-in-law, Jim Ditto and his good friend, high school tennis partner and future brother-in-law, Jason Ditto. Over the years he and Jason continued to play tennis in various leagues and neighborhood matches with many friends. Jeff’s love of tennis extended to his high-school teammate and future wife Cara as well as his son Ryan, whom he coached in high school tennis matches. Jeff also followed professional tennis, visiting the US Open yearly since 1997 with Cara and his in-laws along with several Laver Cup tournaments and even made it to Wimbledon.
Jeff enjoyed cooking, which he learned to love from his mother and mastered many of her beloved recipes; he delighted in grilling with Ryan and his nephew Eric.
