On June 29, 2019 JEREMY (“JERRY”) SCOTT ANDERSON passed away due to a rare heart condition called fulminant eosinophilic myocarditis . He is the beloved son of Gary and Connie (Smathers) Anderson; dear brother of Jesse Anderson; cherished grandson of Juanita Smathers, Dale Smathers, Harold Anderson and his wife Janet, and the late Beverly Loge and her husband Philip; nephew of Nicole Rinehardt, Rebecca Smathers, Michael Anderson, Liza Slay, John Loge, Victoria Jardon, and Tim Anderson; cousin of Amy Slay, and Meaghan Anderson; great nephew of Dennis Hockabout; Best Friend to Chris, Sean, and Charles. Jeremy loved his pets, his dogs Miyuki and Ein, and his cat the late Strelka.
Jeremy loved Legos, Anime, and Pokémon Go. If he wasn’t playing Destiny online with his friends from all over the world, Jeremy was reading about history. He was a History major at Towson University and had recently studied the Protestant Reformation, East Asian history, and Latin American history. In April, he was initiated into the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society.
In his life, Jeremy was able to travel to some wonderful places: Toronto and Niagara Falls, Biloxi and New Orleans, Sanibel Island, South Dakota and Wyoming, New York City, West Virginia, Washington DC, and many others.
Jeremy enjoyed all kinds of music. He listened to JackFM with his dad, classic rock with his mom, Michael Jackson and Charlie Pugh with his gramma, and Hamilton with sister, Jesse. They would delightedly sing the complex intro number in the car together, not missing a syllable. Other favorite Hamilton songs were “My Shot” and “Yorktown.”
Jeremy had a kind and gentle spirit. He was loving, and gave wonderful hugs. (He was often referred to as “Jer-Bear.”) He will be missed by all who knew him.
