

On Thursday, March 17, 2016, God welcomed Leon H. Frank III into Heaven with a loving “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Leon, of Hunt Valley, MD (formerly of Vestal, NY), was born April 1, 1945, in Johnson City, NY. He passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm and will be deeply missed for his love of family and friends, sharp wit, and zest for life.
Leon is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca, and son, Patrick of Norfolk, VA, and step-son, Benjamin Harless of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by two brothers, two sisters, and several favorite nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rev. Leon and Dorothy Frank, and his beloved dog, Max.
Leon was a life-long entrepreneur who started his first business at the age of 12. Some accomplishments included buying an ice cream store, Lil’ Leon’s, at the age of 20 and authoring six books including three novels and three on marketing. His newspaper column in the Baltimore Business Journal, “Your Performance Doctor,” addressed management issues. He also penned articles for Chesapeake Bay Magazine. His career in marketing included promoting businesses, developing software, small business consulting, and lecturing. Leon was an accredited consultant by AASBC. Leon’s passions were piloting, reading, water skiing, boating, and decorating whimsical cakes for all occasions.
Leon’s business career was interrupted when he was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Special Forces Green Beret unit as a First Lieutenant during the Viet Nam War.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, at Faith Lutheran Church, 8 Sherwood Road, in Cockeysville, at 12:30PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00PM.
