

Lillian Gloria Hofmann, fondly known as Lily, suddenly passed away on July 8, 2013. Lily was originally from Concord, New Hampshire and was a resident of Maryland for over 60 years. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Kurt Franz Hofmann, to whom she was married for 48 years until his death in 2000. Loving mother is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws, Suzanne and husband Porter Houston, Linda Hofmann and husband David Marshall, and Kathryn Hofmann and husband Michael Neeper and beloved companion, Doug Heisey.
Lily was the consummate homemaker, but also had worked at a uniform store in Padonia, MD and then alongside her husband in their food service business at Pine Ridge Golf Course. She also volunteered at Stella Maris, Timonium, MD, comforting the residents and often even washing their clothes for them at her home. More recently, Lily volunteered at Alcoholics Anonymous for many years and later, as a health monitor at Cockeysville Senior Center, for which she learned CPR.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home at 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) at 12:30 pm, with a memorial service at 1:30 pm. Interment will be private. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
