He was a man who lit up every room with his quick wit, big heart, and unforgettable sense of humor, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and adventure.
From an early age, Rich was a natural athlete and leader, playing football with passion and later passing that love for the game on by coaching his son’s team. He had a magnetic personality—charming, kind, and full of life. He never met a stranger, often turning casual conversations into lasting friendships.
Known for his goofy nature and quick comebacks, Rich had a gift for making people laugh. His sense of humor was contagious, and his presence was a comfort to those around him.
A thrill-seeker at heart, Rich never shied away from adventure—whether it was skydiving, riding his motorcycle or riding the tallest roller coasters, or setting out on family adventures. He cherished every moment with his children, filling their lives with laughter, joy, and exploration. Whether he was taking them to amusement parks, hiking through the woods, or dozing off during movies, his love for them was constant and boundless.
Above all, Rich was a man of great heart and deep compassion. His charm, warmth, and generosity will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
He is the beloved father of Nicholas Tucker Christensen, Elisabeth Brynn Gilbert Christensen, Richard “Teddy” Christensen, III, and the late Timothy “Jordy” Christensen; son of the late Richard Lee Christensen, Sr., and Dolores Marie Christensen (nee Nothnagle); dear brother of Denise Diver, Karen Christensen, and Robert Christensen. Rich is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.
