Born in Manhattan and raised in Forest Hills, NY, Dr. Munford attended the University of Rochester for Undergraduate School. He was a 1951 graduate of The Yale School of Medicine where he met his wife, Mary Beale Willard. They married in June of 1951. He served as a Doctor of Medicine in the U.S. Air Force for two years while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. During the 1950's they had two sons,
Richard W.W. Munford '53 and Michael T.W. Munford '58. The family moved to Baltimore,Md in June 1958. Dr. Munford practiced at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore where he was Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also maintained a private practice at Cross Keys and continued medical affiliation with Mercy Hospital in Baltimore.
Dr. Munford was an avid reader, lover of classical music, traveling, gardening and photography.
Beloved husband for 73 years of Mary B.W. Munford, father of Michael T.W. Munford and his wife B.G, Shrewsbury, PA and the late Richard W.W. Munford, Salem, OR; brother of the late Charles T. Munford III, he was also preceded in death by his parents Charles T. Munford Jr. and Sylvia Rodman Munford.
