You can only have one mother,
  patient, kind and true;
No other friend in all the world,
  will be the same to you.
As we look upon her picture, 
   sweet memories we will recall;
Of a face so full of sunshine,
  and a smile for one and all.

To Jon, Jessica, and Julie, your mother, my sister-in-law, will always live on in my heart.

Susan Owens was my little sister, born 5 years after me; therefore, I knew her all of her life.  She was one of the most generous people I've ever known and she loved her family so very much. They always came first in her life!  

We had such a good time when she visited us in Florida last October when she attended our daughter's wedding (Robin & Eric Belcher).  She even got up and danced a bit at the end of the reception, (clunky shoes and all).  

She was my source of all questions about how the Orioles and the Ravens were doing and also about lots of health issues.  We talked on the phone at least once a week, and her passing leaves a very deep hole in my heart and my life.  

Susan had a lot of friends. and she loved her family very much.   I pray that her children and grandchildren will reach out to the Lord who is the source of "peace that passes all understanding" during times like this in our life.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your mom.  As you know, I worked with her when I first came to MDOT and I will cherish the memories of the times we spent together.  May the peace which comes from the memories of the love that you shared comfort you now and in the days ahead.  You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Susan was a really nice person.  Although I didn't get to work with Susan I did get to play in a fantasy football league with her, Jessica and Bruce.  It was apparent that she loved her family.  My deepest sympathy, Karen Bryant

Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. I only had a short window of time working with your mother prior to her retirement. She always displayed a consistent attitude and pleasant disposition in my interactions during work. Know that your friends at MDOT/ODE are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I have many fond memories of Susan over the years.  I especially remember the fun times she, Joyce, and I had at card club.  She was very good at cards and the other board games we played.  She always showed such a great love for her children, grandchildren, and all her family.  She was a blessing to many, and I am thankful to be one of them.

 Your mom was a  great lady and I'm glad I was able to know her, even briefly. She lives on in all those amazing grandchildren.  My condolences.
