I believe God places special people in our lives to ease the difficult moments: Deb was that person when we came to Toledo. I came to Ottawa Hills as new management and needing to convert the office staff to a regional office staff. Deb and Judy were amazing in their support and then Judy got promoted. Deb stepped up, accepted the challenge and ran a model regional office, literally, her office was held up by Gibraltar as the goal for every office manager.

Deb never stopped being an empathetic, loving and hard working advocate for our  client families.
It has been our pleasure and privilege to  know and to have worked with Deb: she has a special place in our hearts.

If the Creator has an office, Deb is busy re-organizing the files and training the staff.

My deepest condolences to the Family, I worked with Debby for 12 years and she was a great help to everyone she had worked with. Deb and I would occasionally find ourselves in deep conversations about her Grandchildren, as I have children very close in age to them. I know we may not have technically been doing our job while in these conversations but to me it had become a vital part of my weekly laughter as we compaired stories. If there was one thing I could tell her Family it would be,There is no Doubt, she LOVED all of you.(even when she was mad at Tom) Lol. Her Love for her family was never a question. Deb you will be missed by many, and for me it was a great pleasure to have worked with you for the 12 years before your retirement. God Bless you Deb and all of your Family.

Debi was one of a kind.  I will so miss her wit, laughter, and loving support.  I will never have a better friend.

A simply loving, caring, helpful, and delightful person. I am blessed to have known her and to have had the opportunity to work with her. My thoughts and prayers to her family. May you find peace in knowing how many lives Debi has touched and have comfort in knowing she made a paramount difference in this world.

   Sorry to learn about your wife Tom, you have our condolences. Your cousin Frank Combs. By the way Eva passed away 14 January 2015.

Deb was one of my best friends in high school. We had some great times after school doing crazy things that made us laugh all night long. She will truly be missed.God Bless Her and Her Family.

Debi, I have not forgotten you from the time we were children. Reading all of these wonderful comments left to and for you and your family... I see that you never ever changed. Requiescat in pace.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I never got the pleasure to meet her but I'm a fellow polar bear grad. May she rest in peace and may her family find peace and understanding in the Lord.

We sat on your porch that late summer afternoon and watched your granddaughters at play. You had just begun retirement, but were busy as ever...Our lives had intertwined and bounced away and back over the years, but we were always connected in family, and in your gracious friendship. 

I want to sit with you again in sunlight and laughter, because for you Debi, there can be none compared. For those who loved you nearest,  your love, your wit, your humor (oh how we would laugh!) your loyalty..the special that was YOU in all our lives, will be forever missed, forever remembered, by each in our own way...For me? Like a beautiful September day...
Forever My Friend

I knew Deb at Woodward, and we shared several classes together. I especially enjoyed being on stage with her when she played the title role in The Diary of Anne Frank. Deb was intelligent, sweet, and bubbly,and I will always remember her that way. May she find peace with The Lord.

You never forget your first Best Friend....that is what Debi was to me!  From her Grandparents house on Chase Street to playing and sunbathing on the picnic tables at the house on New York Street.  From her crush Tom Facey her buddy Scotty Symington her little dog Sassie and her fun at Woodward High School.  When I got my 62 Chevy Nova Station wagon...I would pick her up and take her to school.  She said she would pay me 50 cents a week for gas...she also said that if you owed someone money you would always remain friends!  So that we did...she always remained my FIRST BEST FRIEND! I will miss not doing her hair and the great conversation we had. She always enjoyed talking about her family! She was a very giving person and I will truly miss her! My heart goes out to all of you.

I'm sure you have met my brother, "Jeff". Your brother Jeff and I have asked him to take care of you, THAT, I know isn't  necessary, but Jeff had been waiting for you and knows he'd have fun with you. Sis there isn't enough internet for me share how much you have both given and will always be to me. I'd give anything for 5 more minutes to tell you I Love You. Your love for you family & friends along with your selflessness should be a manual for all of us. Heaven will be louder in the Fall on Saturdays. I'll see you at the Shoe. O H!

I'm still in total shock. You were such a great mother to me. I will forever be grateful for our time together. I love you. More than you can ever imagine.

So sorry to see this Tom. Debbie was always so nice to me and accepted me as family long after Bill and I divorced. Please know even though we never saw each other anymore, your entire family have been in my thoughts. Prayers for all of you, and if I can do anything, just yell.  Sorry for your loss.

Deb - Thank you for being a mentor to me. I am forever in your graces. Not a day goes by that I don't find something with your amazing handwriting. You taught me so much and if I do my job half as well as you did I consider it a sucess.
