On April 2, 2000, Chloe Lauren Schneider was born into this world in Puyallup, Washington. From the day she was born, if there was mud she was in it, if it had wings she was chasing it, if crawled she was making it her beloved pet. She was the designated family member to take the fish off the hook, she was truly a girl who loved nature in every way. Chloe and her family moved to Buckeye, AZ in 2006 and Arizona was never the same!
When Chloe was around, people were smiling, she made sure of it. If they weren’t smiling, she made it her goal to change that. Chloe was not your typical teenager, she knew who she was and she owned it. Her nicknames were Crazy Chloe and Beast-mode, and she loved it; she attacked every challenge like a beast. In the weight room, on the mountain bike, on the soccer field or in the classroom, you would be challenged to find another kid who worked harder, always with a smile on her face and unbridled confidence that is so rare in a teenager. Chloe’s calling in life was to make everyone laugh and smile. Not once did Chloe ever put herself first, it was always about others, whether they were her close friend, family member, or a stranger she just met, she considered them all.
Chloe joined the mountain biking team with the Verrado riders in the 2013-2014 school year and was one of the only girls on the team but that did not matter to her, she beast-moded it! Chloe wanted to ride for her school, it was important to her to represent her school. She was instrumental to bringing the team to Odyssey. Chloe was responsible for getting half the team to join, beast mode did not take “no” for answer. While Chloe loved riding with her team, she also wanted the experience of playing a team sport. Chloe joined the Girl’s Soccer team her freshman year and loved every minute of it. Chloe’s entire motivation was for her team. True to Chloe’s nature, her team became everything to her. She did everything for her team because she did not want to let anybody down.
Chloe left us way too soon and she was too good for this world. She made more impact here on this earth in her short time than most people do with a full lifetime. Chloe will never be forgotten; her spirit will live on in all of us. Every time we smile, every time we laugh, every time we help someone else, it is in Chloe’s memory. We are all left here to carry on her legacy and we will make her proud, every day!
