Israel D. Ledezma, long time resident of Phoenix Arizona, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 at the age of 49 years old.
He was born in Mexico City February 13th, 1973 to Sylvia Morales and Gabriel Ledesma. The youngest of seven siblings, he was lucky to grow up surrounded by love both from his parents a older brothers and sisters. At the age of fifteen, he immigrated with his parents and other family to Riverside, California where he would later attend and graduate from Rubidoux High School. In 1994 he and his family made the move out to Phoenix, Arizona in hopes of finding work. He’s was successful in his goal, and worked countless hours to get himself on his feet. As an adult he owned and operated A&J Ledezma’s Courier Service LLC, where he managed the delivery of mail to post offices and medication to pharmacies and hospitals.
Always amicable and outgoing, he made friends easily, and in 1997 he met Mara De Alejandro. The two became fast friends and soon after fell in love. After having and losing his daughter Jasmin in 1999, on November 7th 2001, and July 7th 2006 he welcomed his two children Aylin and Joshua who became the pride and joy of his life. On August 7th 2010 him and Mara finally married after over a decade of loving each other and raising a family.
He grew up loving fútbol and played for many years, and even after, continuad loving it from afar . He enjoyed going to concerts with his wife, friends, and eventually children. It was clear that appreciation for music was a big part of his life. Aside from that, he made his best effort to visit family in his home city and give his children the opportunity to see firsthand the beauty of México.
To say Israel was a loving person would be an understatement. He lived to see the people in his life smile, and was the type to open his home up to anyone in need. Over the years his house was home to countless family members, all of which found a sort of stability around him. He was the pillar in a structure that supported everybody, and made those lucky enough to know feel loved. Several niece’s and nephews consider him to be a second father or only father figure for them growing up, most notably his nieces Jezreel and Daisy who he helped raise for a large portion of their lives.
The love, care, and guidance he gave to those he loved is immeasurable, and his loss has left a great void. He survived by his wife Mara Ledezma, Mother Sylvia Ledesma, eldest child Aylin Ledezma, son Joshua Ledezma, and countless more loving family members.
His service will be held Monday, March 7th from 5pm to 8pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Crystal Rose.
