March 10, 1956 – March 28, 2024
Walter was born in Omaha, NE, to Walter Volenec, Sr., and Phyllis (Carrick) Volenec. He is survived by his sister Diana Humphries and his aunt Leanna Carrick, his children, grandchildren (Michelle, Alyssa, Leo, Adrian, Jovana, and Mia) and many more family and dear friends.
Walter proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged in 1976. He was a loving and devoted family man. He had the best sense of humor and loved putting a smile on everyone’s face. He had a passion for driving his motorcycle and spending time outdoors hunting, fishing or just admiring the views. He had such a big heart that he would always help someone in need. He will be forever missed and in our hearts. We love you Papa!
A private service will be held at 2:00 PM on April 19, 2024, in Glendale, AZ.
Heavenly Father:
We gather today in remembrance of Walter Volenec. He had a rough life while on earth, but he always tried to make others’ lives easier. We remember him for his kind heart and his teasing ways, and his advice and counsel given even when we didn’t want it. And that advice and counsel usually turned out to be just what we needed.
God, we thank you for allowing us to be a part of his earthly life and most of all, for making him a part of our lives. He is and always will be in our hearts forever.
In Jesus name we pray these things.
Amen
