Warren Joseph Honeywood, a beloved father and friend, whose life was tragically taken on December 21, 2024, at the age of 45. He was born on November 18, 1979, in Torrance, California. Warren’s life was a testament to his passion, dedication, and unyielding love for his faith, family, friends, and community.
Warren’s passion for football began early, fueling not just his athletic journey but also his deep sense of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. From his days at Palomar Junior College, where he helped his team win the 1998 national championship, to his years playing at Fullerton Junior College, Fort Hays State University, and Ottawa University, Warren’s talent and love for the game shaped him into a leader both on and off the field. He continued to inspire as a coach, sharing his knowledge and passion with the next generation of athletes, serving as a DB coach for the Goodyear Wranglers Junior College.
Warren’s entrepreneurial spirit was just as remarkable. He founded 5iredUp LLC, a clothing line born from his desire to help others feel confident and empowered. His drive didn’t stop there. He returned to school, pursuing a degree in Business Administration at South University, where his hard work earned him a spot on the Chancellor's List with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Warren’s commitment to personal growth and his dream of making a difference in the lives of others were a source of pride for all who knew him.
But above all, Warren was a devoted family man. His love for his children was unwavering. He was their biggest supporter, always present at their events, cheering them on with a heart full of pride. Warren’s energy, joy, and fierce love for his family were the foundation of his life. Whether he was coaching, playing sports, or just sharing a moment with his loved ones, Warren made everyone feel valued and cherished.
He was known for his outgoing and larger-than-life personality. He was fun, loud, and incredibly caring, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His love for his community was palpable, and he was a true friend to all who were lucky enough to know him. A lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan, Warren drew inspiration from his favorite player, Deion Sanders, whose drive and spirit mirrored Warren’s own approach to life: always giving your best and uplifting others along the way.
Warren’s life was defined by a deep passion—for his family, football, his business, and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, determination, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Amanda; his children Brooklyn, Jazmin, Warren Jr., Ma’Kiyah, Aiden, Reigna, Ajiah, Kallie, Zahmyr, and Maleko; his mother Juvwana; his siblings Tahe and John; and countless family members and friends who loved him dearly. While his life was cut short far too soon, the love, joy, and impact he shared with his family, friends, and community will forever remain.
Rest in peace, Warren. You will forever be loved, forever remembered, and always missed.
