

Alexander Anthony Rossetti Sr., 90, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on March 1, 2016, at home. He was born in Newark, NJ, and graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. Alexander was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Yeoman 2nd class during WW II, and was Honorably Discharged after 2.5 years of service. He was a salesman for the Prudential Financial Co. Inc. for 38 years. He was also a member of the American Legion in Toms River, and past president of School #18 PTO in Iselin, NJ, where he established a school library. Alexander was a parishioner of St. Justin the Martyr Church in Toms River, and a long-time supporter of the Pop Corn Park Zoo in Lacey.
Mr. Rossetti was pre-deceased by his parents: Julius and Matilda Muliero Rossetti; his brother Joseph Rossetti; and his beloved wife Adelaide Spicer Rossetti. He is survived by his children: Linda Rossetti Robinson and her husband Lusk, Karen D. Rossetti, Yvonne C. Rossetti, and Alexander A. Rossetti Jr. and his wife Silvia; five grandchildren: Melissa, Veronica, Alicia, Jacqueline and Alexander III ; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 6th, from 2-4 PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 AM at St. Justin the Martyr Church on Fischer Blvd. in Toms River. Cremation will be private.
