Alvin R. Walck

Mr. Walck served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and worked for the Department of Defense at McGuire AFB as an aircraft mechanic and as Quality Assurance at Switlik in Trenton, NJ.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beachwood and was a past volunteer of Caregivers of Central NJ.  Mr. Walck loved the Indy car races and model building.

He was predeceased by his parents, Otilda Walck Cole and James Walck; Sister-in-Law, Stella Nieradka and Brother-in-Law, Stanley Safin.

Mr. Walck is survived by his wife of 62 years, Genevieve “Gen” (nee Safin); Daughter, Diane Stille and her husband, Michael Soper of Hudson, CO; Son, Bruce and his wife, Lori of Freehold; Grandsons, Matthew and Mitchell Walck; Sisters-in-Law, Charlotte Foti (Robert) and Audrey Safin; Nephews, Nieces and dear friend, Geraldine Smith.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service 1:30 pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mr. Walck’s memory to Interfaith Hospitality of Toms River, Caregivers or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beachwood.
