
Anna B. Dixon, 90, passed away peacefully on February 3rd, at home surrounded by family. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on May 7th, 1930 to August and Anna Haupt. Anna graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark and then worked for NJ Bell. In 1960, she relocated to Toms River with her husband to raise their family. Anna enjoyed working for Toms River High School East for twenty years where she acquired many dear friends before retiring in 1995. Anna was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, a Religious Instructor, and a communicant of St. Justin’s Church.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Bernard Dixon, sister Joan Seeko, and brother Richard C. Haupt. Surviving are her sister Veronica Coveleski (Richard), three children Joyce Clayton, Bob Dixon, and Christine Olsen (Eric), five grandchildren John Clayton (Jacqueline), Bryan Clayton (Lisa), Courtney McDaniel (Michael), Jessica and Amanda Olsen, three great grandsons who called her “GG” Shane, Bryan, and John, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 4-6 pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Justin’s Church, Toms River on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 9:30am. Due to COVID, please respect the family’s wishes to wear your masks and socially distance. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in Mrs. Dixon's memory to Saint Justin RC Church.
