Catherine Ann Ruhl

Catherine Ann Ruhl, 75, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in New York, Catherine later lived in Toms River before moving to Egg Harbor Township with her daughter.

Catherine worked for many years as an Administrative Secretary and ultimately served as the Assistant Board Secretary for the Toms River Regional Schools in Toms River, where she dedicated herself to supporting staff before retiring.

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Douglas. She is survived by her sister, Ellen Petrock, and her four children: Douglas Ruhl; Ellen Ernst and her husband, Brian; Ruane Narvaez and her husband, Erik; and John Ruhl and his wife, Raquel.

Cathy is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Katie Douglas and her husband Matt, Marlee Brodereck and her husband Matt, Erin Marraffa and her husband Andrew, Douglas Ruhl, Alanis Ruhl, Erik Narvaez, Jon Narvaez, Cal Narvaez, EllenMaria Narvaez, and John Douglas Ruhl. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren: Molly, Ellen, Lilly, Brielle, Vivian, and Wolfgang.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
