

Born in Bronx, NY she resided in Whiting, NJ before moving to Toms River.
She was employed as an administrative assistant for the Bruning Corporation, Fairfield, NJ. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. While living in Whiting, Claire was an officer of the Irish Club and volunteered with Helping Hands at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
Claire was predeceased by her husband Patrick J. Ahern, her parents Peter and Dorothy Kilcullen and her brother, Gerald Kilcullen. Surviving are her children Patrick J. Ahern Jr. (Anne), Joan M. Fraclose (Bernard), Michael J. Ahern (Janet), Marybeth McAdam; her grandchildren Maura Snyder (Michael), Michael Fraclose (Erin), Stephen Fraclose (Miranda), Megan Cheah (Steven), Erin Ahern, Nicole Marmo (Joseph), Shannon Ahern, Edward McAdam, Elizabeth McAdam, Emily McAdam; her great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Snyder, Christopher Fraclose, Emma Snyder, Riley Fraclose, Grace Fraclose, Derek Cheah, Conor Fraclose, Genevieve Cheah and Mason Marmo.
Claire was a devout Catholic who lived her life according to her faith and guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ. She is loved and will be missed by her family and all those who love her.
Visiting will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, NJ. A funeral mass to celebrate Claire’s life will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River, NJ. Interment will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
