Clare Watson

Clare Ann Watson, 76, of Lanoka Harbor, passed away at Community Medical Center on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.  Born in Montclair, NJ, she lived in Cedar Grove, NJ and Brick, NJ before moving to Lanoka Harbor in 1970.

After graduating from Montclair State Teacher's College, Clare taught physical education for 4 years in the Toms River School system.  She then spent the next 20 years as a homemaker, raising her beautiful twins.  She then worked at Bayville Health Foods until retiring and doting on her grandchildren.  In her leisure time, Clare enjoyed boating, golfing, and bowling.  She served as an officer on the Ocean County Womens Bowling Association Board, and often volunteered at golf tournaments in the area.

Clare is preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Grace Giancola; and her son Craig Watson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Watson; daughter, Lisa Mundy (husband Steven); and grandchildren, Casey & Corinne Mundy.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Clare's memory can be made to the Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center.
