Born in Summit, NJ, to parents William and Catherine (nee Langguth) Trivett, he lived in Springfield, NJ for 56 years before moving to Toms River in 2002. He was employed as an Auto Mechanic by the City of Summit for 30 years before retiring in 1999.
Clayton is preceded in death by his father William, Mother Catherine, his brothers Billy and Danny, and his sister Judy.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Ann; his brother Jimmy; his daughter Dawn Boettcher and her husband David; his son Clayton Jr. and his wife Liza; and grandchildren Matthew, Sammi, Kaitlyn, William and Cole.
