Doris M. Shirey

Doris Shirey, born December 21, 1941, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and newly blessed great-grandmother whose life was defined by the joy she brought to others.

Doris shared 65 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Chuck, a partnership rooted in love, loyalty, and unwavering support. Together they built a family that became her greatest pride and purpose.

She is survived by her husband Chuck, their children, Chuck and his wife Kristi, Donna and her husband Peter, and Dina and her husband Rob. Also her treasured grandchildren, Nicholas, Noelle, Dylan, Nina, Brooke and Harley and her great grandchild, Robert.

Doris found her greatest happiness in her family. She rarely missed a sporting event or dance recital, always cheering from the sidelines with pride and excitement. She had a special gift for bringing people together, often opening her home to host gatherings filled with laughter, love and unforgettable meals. Her cooking was a reflection of her generous spirit, and no one ever left the table without feeling cared for. She was truly the glue that held our family together - a steady, loving presence whose warmth and strength will continue to guide those she leaves behind. Doris was loved by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love. There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home located on Main Street in Toms River.
