Edward Francis Murphy

Edward Francis Murphy, 73, of Toms River, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Trenton, he moved to Forked River in 1974 and has resided in Toms River since 1982. Edward served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired as Lieutenant from Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office in Toms River after 18 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, and he enjoyed building model boats. Edward will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Betsy Murphy. Surviving are his beloved wife Lynn (nee Weber) Murphy; a daughter Janet Krawiec; his son Edward Murphy and his wife Jennifer; a step-daughter and her husband Amy L. Shober and Bill Totten; a step-son Andrew Shober and his wife Julia; and six cherished grandchildren Steven and Ryan Krawiec, Quinn Totten, Tobin, Cole and Finn Shober.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at The Presbyterian Church of Toms River, 1070 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Cremation will be private.
