Evelyn J. White

Evelyn White, 80 of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 17, 1942 to Michael “Tom” Ward and Mary R. Ward in Jersey City, NJ.

On June 3, 1961 she married her best friend and love of her life, Robert White. They resided in Bayonne, NJ where they raised their family. Later retiring in Toms River, NJ.

Evelyn is predeceased by many family members but most recently by her son-in-law, Andrew Bruno. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert White of 62 years, her 4 daughters: Tina Montecalvo, Judy Clarkin and her husband, Joe Clarkin, Susan Bruno and Lisa White. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Joey Clarkin and his wife, Gig, Christina Clarkin, Tyler Montecalvo and his fiancee, Samantha, Andrew Bruno and Anthony Bruno.

Evelyn lived for her family. Her face lit up when she got phone calls and visits from her daughters and grandchildren. She fought a long, hard battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was a warrior. Her love for her family but especially her “Bob”gave her strength to fight.
