Florence Rice

Born in Jersey City, she lived there until moving to Jackson in the late 1960's.

She lived there until settling in The Villages in Howell.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Rice was a Medical Transcriptionist for over 30 years at Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood. She was an active member of the Freehold Township Senior Center.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1986, she is survived by her children, Teresa Rice of Houston, TX, Joanne Rosenberg and her husband Gary of Howell, and Joseph Rice and his wife Tara of Freehold; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at 5pm Thursday, June 16 at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, 1 West Main Street, Farmingdale, followed by a gathering from 6-9pm celebrating her life at the Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club, 20 Shore Oaks Drive, Farmingdale, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that contributions be considered to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Road, Madison, NJ.
