Frank Ferlisi, 68 years old, always loved to use his real age of 17 because he was a leap year baby. He passed away at Ocean Medical Center on April 19th early in the morning peacefully. Frank was born in Jersey City, NJ where he grew up with 4 brothers, Richie, Joey, Michael, and Jimmy and 3 sisters, Mary, Angie and Donna who he loved very much. Frank has spent time in many places before settling down in Brick, NJ where he lived most of his life.
Frankie is survived by 4 children Vito, Danny, Steven, and Kimberly. Frank was lucky enough to be a loving grandfather to his 5 grandchildren. Frank was always a big family comes before anything kind of guy, he would give you the shirt off his back, and always asking if you wanted something to eat or drink anytime you were with him.
He had such a strong passion for cooking later in his life where he began his own catering business named “Frank’s Feasts” doing what he loved always making food for others and putting a smile on all his customers faces. When he wasn’t home cooking up a storm and dancing in the kitchen to his oldies, you could find Frankie at his second home at Beacon 70, a bar/restaurant in Brick, NJ where he was labeled “The Mayor of Beacon”. Everyone knew when he walked into the place all the employees were yelling “Frankie’s in the house” and setting his bottles of Coors Light already for him on ice. Frank would always hold a bottle up and state “the mountains are always blue”. He was the kind of person who always had a smile on his face no matter what and would light up any room he walked into.
A Celebration of Life Dinner will be announced at a later date. As Frankie always said till the day he passed, “Love ya Love ya”.
