Frederick K. Fox, Jr.

Frederick K. Fox, Jr.,77, passed away on February 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew & loved him.  Fred was born in Plainfield N.J. and previously lived in North Plainfield & Clifton, NJ. before moving to Toms River in 1975.

He graduated from North Plainfield High School and Somerset Vocational & Technical School.  Fred was a Veteran who served 3 years in the U.S. Army including one year in Vietnam in the 379th Transport Co. Reefer Kings.  He worked as an HVAC mechanic at Resorts Hotel & Casino and was a member of Local 68 Operating Engineers.

He is predeceased by his parents Helen & Frederick K. Fox, Sr. & his sister Susan Stocchi.  Fred is survived by his wife, Linda Fox; daughter, Lisa Ann Fox and her fiancé, Brian Fisher; his beloved poodle, Missy; and cat, Meow; in addition to his niece and nephew, Jennifer and Michael Stocchi; several cousins and his sister in law, Laura Varvaro.

Fred loved watching baseball and football, but his favorite was NASCAR.  He loved nature and taking care of wild animals. Throughout his life all of his pets were adopted.

Fred's memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services located at 1329 RT. 37 West Toms River, NJ 08755. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation in memory of Fred
