Geraldine Grace Francesconi passed away peacefully on Christmas Day after celebrating with her family. Our “Silly Bird” will always be remembered for her love of animals and love of her family. She hated to cook but loved to clean and kept an immaculate home. She loved Sunday morning show-tunes on the stereo and her all time favorite was Camelot. Geri loved music and dancing and would be the first one out on the dance floor with her classic Geri dance moves and her Geri dance face!
She is forever dancing now with her only dance partner, hairdresser and husband, Robert A. Francesconi. She is reunited with her mother, Grace Napolitano Bruno, her Aunt Josephine Zuccato and Uncle Lawrence Zuccato. There is no doubt that “Ellen the Melon” Zuccato was waiting for her cousin, “Geri the Berry” to bring her home.
Geri is survived by her daughters, Graceanne Francesconi Welsh and Marisa Francesconi MacCarty; their husbands James Welsh and Ronald MacCarty; her grandchildren Connor and Justin Welsh and Julia Rose MacCarty; her grand-dogs Piper, Floyd and Herbo and her great grand-cats Baby, Crimson and Clover.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in her name.
