

Born in Wayne, NJ, Mr. Kohler previously lived in Fairfax, VA prior to relocating to his current address 30 years ago. He had retired from the position of Sr. Program Manager as a civilian for the Department of Navy after 35 years of service. After retiring, he took a position as a Sr. Program Manager for Engility Corporation.
Of his many awards, he was the proud recipient of the Meritorious Civilian Award from the Department of Navy among many others. Hans enjoyed boating, fishing, music, skiing, good company and KFC; but above all, he loved his family and their travels together.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Elizabeth Kohler. Surviving is his loving wife, Wendy Sprague Kohler; daughters Jillian Jeniece Kohler and Nikki Lynnelle Kohler; son Christopher Karl Kohler and his wife, Rozeta; brother, Roy Kohler and his wife, Pam; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Hans' life will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 5PM to 7PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation was private.
