

Born and raised in Staten Island, Mr. Buttermark lived in Matawan before settling at his current address over 20 years ago. He was a pipe fitter and worked for the Pipefitter and Plumbers Union Local 9 prior to his retirement. He was former member of the Matawan Elk Lodge as well as a volunteer fireman for the Matawan Fire Department. He loved traveling and spending his time on beautiful beaches. He was quite the handyman and in his spare time enjoyed being on his boat fishing.
Harold was predeceased by his children, Raymond and Sharon Buttermark as well as his parents, Raymond and Florence Buttermark. Surviving is his loving wife, Susan; children, John and Robert Giordenelli; grandchildren Antoinette, John Paul, Joseph John, Danny and Bobby; great-grandchildren Savanna, Angelina, JoJo, Anthony, Gina and Madalyn; and many loving sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends near and far.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 10AM to 2PM with a service at 1PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
