Harold Epstein

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Epstein later moved to Spring Valley, NY and relocated to the Manchester, NJ area 28 years ago. He was an optometrist in New York and upon retiring over 30 years ago, he enjoyed spending his time playing golf and tennis, going on walks, solving puzzles and was Program Director of the Leisure Village West Tennis and Social Club.

Hal was predeceased by his parents Abraham and Birdie Epstein as well as his brother Stanley Epstein. Surviving is his wife of 48 years Helen Epstein; children Michael Epstein and his wife April Stone, Steven Epstein and his wife Helen, Barbara Rinkoff and her wife Ellen Murland, Michael Rinkoff and his wife Lori, and Steven Rinkoff; grandchildren Eliza Epstein and her fiancé Jeff Eiden, Marin Epstein, Kyle and Ryan Epstein, Sophie Rinkoff-Murland and Cecili Henderson.

Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held in Hal's memory at Leisure Village West in the Leisure Fair main room on Sunday, September 24th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm
