Henry P. McGowan, 84, of Beachwood, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012, at home. Born in Queens, NY, he lived in Ocean Grove for 30 years before moving to Beachwood in 2003. Mr. McGowan was employed by the federal government for 33 years. He retired from the U.S. Department of Justice, MCC, NY, as a correctional counselor, where he was selected as "Civilian of the Year".
Surviving is his beloved wife, Marilyn (Brower) McGowan.
Funeral services were private and under the direction of Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River.
