Joanne Brennan

Joanne Brennan, 68, of Whiting, NJ passed away on May 19, 2023. Joanne was born on November 7, 1954, to Joseph and Rita Tabor in Elizabeth, NJ. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Central Regional High school in 1972.

She dedicated her life to being a caregiver of children. Joanne also selflessly rescued many animals during her lifetime.

Joanne met Eugene Brennan in high school, who she went on to marry in 1974. They had two children: Keith and Sandra Brennan. During her retirement she worked part-time, adopted animals, and spent time with her grandchildren.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents Rita and Joseph Tabor. She is survived by her children Keith J. Brennan and Sandra L. Brennan-Bentivegna; her sister Patricia Alvarez; her grandchildren Ryan, Olyvia and Grace Brennan and Joseph Bentivegna; and her great grandson Elliott Folmer. Joanne also has many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that love her and will remember her always.

A visitation for Joanne will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753. A committal service will follow Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 12:15 PM at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ 08753. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any local animal shelter, to support a cause she was passionate about.
