

John Charles Fawkes Jr., 70, of Beachwood, passed away in Toms River, on May 28, 2015. He was born in Pensacola, Florida, and was a longtime resident of Beachwood. John retired from JCP&L in Berkeley Twp. after 35 years of employment. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. John was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church, a member of American Legion Post #129 in Toms River, and a member of the Toms River Historical Society.
John was predeceased by his parents, John C. and Ann Fawkes and his sister Maryann Maiorine. He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy of 42 years; his two sons: Matthew Fawkes and his wife Shana, and Jeffrey Fawkes and his wife Kimberley; his daughter Kristie Fawkes; two grandchildren: Amanda and Pamela; his brother Robert Fawkes and his wife Carol; his mother-in-law Mary Nicolini; and his two brothers-in-law: Edward Maiorine and Carl Nicolini.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 31st, from 4 to 8PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9:30AM at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville, 08721. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Barnabas Church Food Pantry in John’s memory.
