John was born May 8th 1933 in Boerger, Germany. He served in the United States Army in 1958. He lived in Queens NY and worked in his trade as an electrician. John moved to New Jersey and worked for Siemens for over 30 years before retiring.
John was an outdoors man, he loved hunting fishing and raising bees. He loved nature and spending time at his house in the country. His favorite place was in the woods. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed.
Predeceased by his parents, his sister, Thekla and his brother, Klaus; John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Thea and two children, his daughter Tanya and son-in-law, Paul Dorato, 3 grandchildren; Brandon, Kayla and Mia; his son, Thomas and daughter-in-law, Janelle Haviland Rolfe; and also two sisters, Gesine Arnz and Maria Hanecamp.
His Funeral services will be held on February 6th at 10:30am at Holy Family Church, 1139 E County Line Rd, Lakewood, NJ 0870.
Arrangements were entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.
