

Born in Buffalo, NY he resided most of his life in Middletown, NJ and lived a short time in Des Moines, Iowa before coming to Toms River 1983 and finally to Manchester Twp.
Jack was President of Colonial Life of E. Orange, NJ and Equitable Life Insurance Company of Iowa for many years before his retirement.
He was a WW II Army Air Corp veteran. Besides the love of his family, his greatest joy in life was singing for church choirs and nursing homes. He also sang in a Barber Shop Quartet, and for the Leisure Village West Westernaires. His other passions included fishing, animals, and gardening.
He was predeceased by his wife Doris V. Thatcher in 2001 and his son Stephen in 2011; he is survived by his daughter Carolyn St. Jean and her husband Donald of Toms River; his daughter-in-law Laura Thatcher of Toms River; and longtime companion Rosalie Turley of North Carolina. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Erica Sambucini and her husband Joe, Darren St. Jean, Stephen, John and Brian Thatcher and a great grandson Donovin.
Visitation will be held Fri day, March 9, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. Funeral services will take place Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.
