Joseph Anthony Tagliavia, age 59, passed away in his sleep at home in Whiting, NJ on June 20. 2022. He was born in Red Bank, NJ in 1962. Joseph grew up in Hazlet, NJ, graduated Raritan High School, attended Rutgers University for a time before joining IBEW's local 400. He married the love of his life, Debbie, on September 20, 1986. Joseph was predeceased by his father, Anthony, his mother Margaret, and his sister, Joanne. He leaves behind his wife, Debbie, his son, Nicholas (fiance, Jessica); his son, Joseph and his wife, Jessica; his daughter, Kristina (fiance, Ronnie); three grandchildren, Joseph, Juliet, and Ronnie; his sister, Maria Arnold (husband, Fred Arnold), Louise Burke (mother in law); and several nieces and nephews.
Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother and uncle. He was generous with his time and always quick to give a helping hand. He loved his wife, Debbie and his family above all else. He loved the Yankees, Notre Dame, his boat, bowling, cruising, going to baseball games with his sons, listening to his daughter sing, and so many other things. He loved life and enjoyed lifelong friendships.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 24 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 685 Hooper Ave, Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
