Katherine Margaret Ross

Katherine Margaret Ross, 35, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2017. She was born in Bogota, Colombia, and grew up in Toms River. She was a naturalized U.S. Citizen. Kate attended Toms River H.S. School North and became a CMA/ nurse. While growing up, Kate was a Girl Scout. She enjoyed family vacations, especially to the Outer Banks, NC in the summer. Kate enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching sports, and helping others. Her favorite color was emerald green and she enjoyed watching scary movies. Kate enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a great mother to her daughter Mariah who was the light of her life.

Kate was pre-deceased by her mother Barbara Ross, her sisters Victoria Cosgrove and Elizabeth Ross, and her brother Stanley John Ross. She is survived by her daughter Mariah; her father Robert Ross; her brothers: Ian Ross, Alec Ross, and John Ross; and her sisters Adriana and her husband Kiko Dominguez, and Jennifer Ross and her partner Kevin Shute. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Kate will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 415 Washington St., Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in memory of Kate.
