LJ was born in Toms River, NJ and was welcomed into his chosen family only weeks later. He would remain an area resident his entire life.
The life he lived and the people he impacted are not reflective in the short number of years he was with us.
His life may have presented its challenges but none seemed too great to conquer his spirit or his eye on the future. LJ was inquisitive, strong minded, compassionate, gentle and loving to all who knew him. These traits carried from boyhood to adulthood. LJ had a love for reading and knowledge, music and lyrics, the environment and animals. Each of these passions played a part in shaping the man he grew to be and the values he carried with him each day.
His unwavering convictions were admirable. He believed it was the responsibility of all to care for and respect the planet we call home. His love of all things living was inspiring.
His life forever changed the day he welcomed his daughter Mia into this world, just four years ago. Becoming a father was his self-described greatest accomplishment and one that kept him laser focused on the future. We saw you love before, but never as greatly and as easily as with Mia.
Although no number of years is ever enough, yours were just too few, LJ. We will forever miss your contagious smile, your silly laughter and your genuine love. Rest easily.
LJ is predeceased by his beloved sister Amanda. He is survived but his mother Nancy, his daughter Mia, his sister Kim, his brothers Chris, Kyle and Josh, his niece Kara and countless family and friends.
A viewing will be held Sunday, September 27, 2-4pm Anderson & Campbell, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.
All are welcome.
