Lenore Miles

Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of Carmen and Maria Grimaldi. She resided in East Brunswick before moving to Toms River in 1979. Her career began as a bank teller and later a legal secretary. After several years of service, Lenore retired from Multiple Listing Services of Realtors of Toms River, NJ.

Lenore was a parishioner of St. Justin the Martyr R.C. Church in Toms River and was affiliated with Caregivers of Central Ocean County in Toms River. Lenore was a very family oriented person. Her main interests were her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband George W. Miles, Jr. in 1999; and her recently deceased daughter Georgeann Hovemeyer in 2012 and along with several of her brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters: Lenore Iovine and her husband Angelo of Toms River and Marlene D. Strauss of Howell; her beloved three sisters Theresa Grasso, Fay Zack, and Marie Priante; her brother Benjamin Grimaldi; and also with her sister-in-laws. She is also survived by four grandsons: George E. Warren, Eugene F. Hofacker III, John M. Simas and Stephen S. Strauss Jr. and great grandson Aidan M. Simas.

Visiting will be Sunday, December 16, 2012, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A mass to celebrate Lenore’s life will be held Monday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Justin the Martyr R.C. Church, 975 Fischer Blvd. Toms River. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel, NJ.
