Born in Coney Island, New York, Linda spent most of her life in Toms River, New Jersey, where she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her daughters, Kim and Teena, who were truly her everything. She loved to sing, spend time at the beach, and host gatherings of friends and family—especially during the holidays, when her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her most cherished role was that of Nana to her grandchildren, Sean, Fallyn, and Aiden, whom she adored beyond measure.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Frank Danay; her best friend, Irene Papaleo; and her beloved Aunt June, Uncle Joe, and Uncle Austin.
She is survived by the loves of her life, her daughters, Kim Spinelli and Teena O’Connell; Teena’s husband, Brian O’Connell; and her treasured grandchildren, Sean, Fallyn, and Aiden. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Wedekind, Nanette Sawyer, and Nancy Boulger; her brother-in-law, Rich Boulger; and a deeply loved circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
In accordance with her wishes, Linda’s ashes will be released in her favorite place from childhood, Coney Island, during a private ceremony.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence House of Ocean County, the domestic abuse center that provided support and care to Linda and her daughters many years ago. Donations can be made at: https://www.catholiccharitiestrenton.org/pho
