Linda Ruth Roberts

Linda Ruth Roberts of Manchester NJ, passed peacefully into the Arms of God on Thursday, Dec 5 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was first and foremost a homemaker, taking great pride in taking care of her family and her home while her children were young. She eventually went on to work for Grand Union, Prudential and Community Surgical Supply companies. She enjoyed her work families and would often bake for them for special occasions.

Linda was the devoted wife of William Thomas Roberts, who predeceased her in 2012. They were married for 42 years and enjoyed each other’s company and complimented each other in many ways. They set a great example for their children on what a loving and committed marriage looks like.

Linda was born in 1943 in Englewood NJ to Lydia and John Kovara. She was the middle child of three and looked up to Judy Stein (Charlie) (FL) as her big sister and John Kovara (NJ) as her little brother.

Linda and Tom had two children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Susan R. McGann and Michael J. Roberts were their pride and joy. Susan (Ken) and children Nicole and Anthony and Michael (Sue) and children Melissa (Dennis), Justin and Michael were the icing on the cake. The extra extra icing would be the children of Melissa (Arya and Coraline).

Linda loved her family, cats, chocolate, her TV shows and her home. In earlier years she was an avid bowler and enjoyed creating ceramic pieces that she proudly displayed in her home. She also enjoyed making favorite recipes for her grandchildren including Pinwheels, Salsa Dip and Pigs in a Blanket. Her Pasta, Macaroni and Potato salads were very much anticipated during summer get togethers. The grandchildren loved their Grandma, Gamma Gamma and Nana!
