

Margaret Ann Kerr, affectionately known as Coocoo by her grandchildren or Maggie (Peggy Ann to her parents), passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, in Bayville, NJ. She was born on October 1, 1940, in Newark, NJ, to loving parents whose memories she cherished throughout her life.
Margaret was a beloved wife to her devoted husband, Michael Kerr. Their love and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they created a warm and inviting home in Bayville, where Margaret spent her final years surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love of her family.
Margaret was a proud mother to her children Monica and her husband Joe Wortsmann, Michael and his wife Teri, Christopher and his wife Jamie, and Peter and his wife Jennifer. She treasured her role as a mother and found fulfillment in nurturing and supporting her children throughout their lives. Her boundless love and unwavering presence will forever be cherished by her children.
In addition to her children, Margaret was blessed with a large and growing family. Her grandchildren, Kristina and husband Dain Pool, Robert, Christopher, Bianca, Matthew, Mickey, Fiona, Sienna, and Nina were the lights of her life. Margaret reveled in their milestones, showering them with love, wisdom, and guidance. She took great joy in watching them grow and succeed, always offering a listening ear and a comforting embrace.
Margaret's life was filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew her. Margaret Ann Kerr will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Services for Margaret will include a viewing on June 4th from 4 to 8 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River. A Mass will be held on June 5th at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude’s in Margaret's honor.
