Margaret M. Kessler

Margaret (Arneth) Kessler, 81, of Beachwood, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at home. Born in Lakewood on Feb. 27, 1932 to Margaret and John Arneth, she lived most of her life in the Beachwood area. Mrs. Kessler attended Toms River Schools and graduated from the old Toms River High School in 1949. In 1954, she married Albert Kessler and they had 5 children. Margaret retired from AT&T in 1987 after 22 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and traveled for years after her retirement. Margaret was faithful parishioner of St. Barnabas Church in Bayville.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert L. Kessler Jr.; a son, Albert Kessler III; granddaughter, Victoria Campbell; and son-in-law, Thomas Heaney; and three brothers, Andrew, John and Anthony Arneth. She is survived by 4 children, Margaret Campbell of Toms River, Catherine Farrington of Toms River, Joanne Guild of Beachwood, and David Kessler of Whiting; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judith Santos of Niantic, CT; and a brother, Michael Arneth of Beachwood.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27 at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River.
