Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Maria moved to the Unites States at the age of 3 and since then has lived in several towns including Somerville, Plainfield, Elizabeth, Hillside and Brick to name a few. She was a homemaker and enjoyed listening to music, dancing, the beach, caring for children and spending time with her family and 2 dogs Molly and Mena.
She was predeceased by her father Radames Robles and her brother Louis Martine Hernandez. Surviving are her children David, Jacinto and Veronica Torres; grandchildren Shukreeah Sade Delacruz, Rafael Carrasquillo, Joshua Colon, Jonathan Gadeil Torres, Leilani Torres, Gianna Marie Torres and Kristina Ann Torres; great-grandchildren Khloe and Israel Delacruz; mother Lydia Iris Hernandez; siblings Belinda Robles, Ingrid Robles, Raymond Robles, Madelyn 'Lily' Cumba, Felicita Cumba and Jose Cumba; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 2PM to 6PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
