Marie A. Giuffrida

Marie A. Giuffrida, age 95, of Manchester Township passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Marie was an amazing wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She was wife to the late Joseph Giuffrida, and mother to the late Anthony Giuffrida. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. Marie was the cook of the neighborhood no matter where she lived. Marie treated all friends and strangers as family. Always lively, Marie could be found at many functions and took every chance to head to Atlantic City with friends. She belonged to the Italian American Club and as a music lover, also the Organ Club. Ready to gift a  homemade crocheted scarf, she was well known as the “Scarf Lady”.

She is survived by her grandchild, Anjelica Giuffrida, sister Sylvia Maresca, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her siblings Rose Petraglia, Mildred Verona, Josephine Corado, Anthony DiSanto, Beatrice Scarano, Salvatore DiSanto, Vincent DiSanto, Angelo DiSanto, and Gloria Worster and her parents Batista and Concetta DiSanto. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marie's visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23 from 8:30am to 9:30am, at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services in Toms River, NJ. A 10 am mass of the Christian burial will be held at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Lakehurst, NJ. Following church services Marie will be entombed at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Sea Girt, NJ.
